VOLUME 1 Chapter Pages Serialization 1 003–055 Sho-Comi 2001 combined issue 3/4 Miu Sakurai—age 15, 9th grade—attends the religious school, Seiran Academy. Every morning she prays in Seiran's chapel for God to remedy her underdeveloped body. One day, she discovers that her idol, Shion Amamiya, has overheard her vain prayers. Their brief meeting solidifies Miu's resolve to win Shion's love. Having no faith in her own charms and wavering faith in God, Miu turns to "Magick to Grant Your Prayers," which she found at a secondhand bookstore. She casts a spell for love, but the one who appears is Satan! He forcefully enters into a contract with her whereby he will deliver the love of Shion to Miu in exchange for her virginity. When Satan's Magick has no effect on Shion, the Devil decides to investigate. He disappears until the following academic year, when Miu and Shion turn out to share the same 10th grade class. Satan then enters Seiran as a student, but not as just any ordinary student... Chapter Pages Serialization 2 057–093 Sho-Comi 2001 issue 5 Posing as a 10th grader named Kai, Satan begins not only an investigation of Shion but a test of Miu's limits as well. As Kai suspected, Shion is a devoted Christian. This makes him uncontrollably angry; it should not be possible for a mere Christian to defy his Magick. Just as Miu begins to wonder if she can place her faith in the Devil, he discovers a devious (and painful!!) way to advance his end of the contract... Chapter Pages Serialization 3 095–132 Sho-Comi 2001 issue 6 The closeness which results between Miu and Shion makes Satan melancholy. He extends his deception into Miu's home, where he can be closer to her himself. Miu and Shion's developing relationship also stirs the Amamiya Fan Club. Seeking to eliminate their rival, they call Miu out and warn her not to go near Shion. Meanwhile, Shion summons Kai to the chapel, where he reveals his suspicion that Miu has become the victim of demonic possession... Chapter Pages Serialization 4 133–156 Sho-Comi 2001 issue 7 Kai is stopped from an impulse to kill Shion by the voice of Miu, which cries in his mind for help. She is being brutally beaten by the Amamiya Fan Club. Satan's desire to save her himself is overridden by his pride. He sends Malphas to fetch Shion, so he can play hero. Then Satan's pride is overriden by a wicked idea. Shion and the rest of Miu's class are led to believe the worst. Miu runs to the chapel to be alone, but Kai appears and says he will protect her—all she has to do is pledge her virginity to the Devil in the presence of God... Chapter Pages Serialization 5 157–187 Sho-Comi 2001 issue 8 Believing that Shion will have faith in her, Miu refuses Satan's protection. She returns to class, where the bullying by her classmates worsens until it is indeed Shion who comes to her rescue. He takes her to the chapel, where he asks her to confess her sins to God. There is no version of the truth that will not contain the Devil, so Miu lies and takes responsibility for Satan's actions. Shion holds her in contempt and leaves her; Miu's world becomes a dark place. That is when Kai comes to her—and she pledges her virginity to him...

VOLUME 2 Chapter Pages Serialization 6 007–035 Sho-Comi 2001 issue 9 Satan is now more clear in his purpose: the protection of Miu. However, Miu can't help but suspect he wants more than just her virginity. The Devil stays true to his promise. First, he sends the Amamiya Fan Club running to Miu, begging for forgiveness. Then he confronts Shion and exposes Miu's bruised body to him, debunking the rumor that she had instigated a one-sided fight. Miu is enveloped in Shion's comforting and apologetic arms, but he is no longer the only one in her thoughts... Chapter Pages Serialization 7 036–065 Sho-Comi 2001 issue 10 Despite the Devil's warning, Misaki of the Amamiya Fan Club decides to continue her pursuit of Shion. Kai intercepts her and is discovered by Miu in the act of sexually wooing the girl away from Shion. Miu and Kai have a confrontation at home. Kai is surprised to learn that she is jealous, but not half as surprised as Miu is to learn what's on Kai's mind... Later, alone on the roof of Seiran, Kai asks Miu if she loves him. Just as she is about to respond, Shion interrupts and confesses his love for Miu... Chapter Pages Serialization 8 067–097 Sho-Comi 2001 issue 11 Satan has upheld his end of the contract. Malphas goes to congratulate Miu on at last realizing her desire, but it becomes apparent to him that she no longer wants the love of Shion. Miu goes to the chapel, where Kai comes to receive the contract's recompense. Knowing that this will be their last encounter, she welcomes his embrace. Before the contract can be fulfilled, Shion breaks in the door, but he is attacked by Satan's Magick. Shion, somehow still able to move, then thrusts a mystic blade through the Devil's back... Chapter Pages Serialization 9 098–128 Sho-Comi 2001 issue 12 Shion's true identity becomes known. He engages Satan in battle and nearly succeeds in banishing him. Miu is the one who ends the battle—in Satan's favor—by entering into a new contract with him... Chapter Pages Serialization 10 129–163 Sho-Comi 2001 issue 13 Once Shion stands down, Kai begins to have his way with Miu. Malphas finds his master and Miu in the chapel later; Miu is unconscious in Kai's arms, having passed out before the contract could be fulfilled. When Miu wakes up the next morning, Kai is gone from all memories but hers, and she doesn't even know the status of her virginity. Intent on seeing him again, she casts the summoning spell once more... to no effect. Unwilling to give up, she tries other spells from other books until she is caught by a teacher stealing "ingredients" from the biology supply room. Meet Seiran's newest professor... Chapter Pages Serialization 11 164–191 Sho-Comi 2001 issue 14 The new biology professor delights in tormenting Shion, such that Miu feels sorry for him. When she confronts Kai on it, Kai becomes intensely jealous and angry. Meanwhile, Shion takes passive aggressive action against the Devil by alerting a concerned party to the relationship developing between Miu and Satan. Later, as Miu and Kai make up in her bedroom, Malphas comes charging in with an urgent communication from Hell, commanding Satan's return. Outraged by the insolence, Satan prepares to leave immediately—with his Miu...

VOLUME 3 Chapter Pages Serialization 12 006–034 Sho-Comi 2001 issue 15 Satan takes Miu with him to his Palace in Hell for a reason he will explain in due course. The human Miu faces adversity from the demons of Pandemonium and then insult from the one who summoned Satan back—his sex friend, Seera. That night, Miu is told to go to Satan's chambers. She expects to find him there with Seera, but he is alone, and he tells her the reason he brought her to Hell... Chapter Pages Serialization 13 036–063 Sho-Comi 2001 issue 16 Seera is outraged. Satan has told her that he will sleep with her no more, and now a human girl is in Satan's private chambers, which he has never allowed anyone to enter before. When they return to Earth, Miu and Kai discover that Seera has enrolled in Seiran Academy, but as she poses as a student she also claims to be—... Chapter Pages Serialization 14 064–091 Sho-Comi 2001 issue 17 Shion becomes involved, clearly on the side of Seera. Seera infiltrates Miu's class and forcefully befriends her, all the while secretly plotting against her... Chapter Pages Serialization 15 092–121 Sho-Comi 2001 issue 18 Seera confronts Kai, who mercilessly puts her in her place—far below Miu. Seera goes to Miu with venomous, heart-breaking lies about Satan, and then sends Shion to comfort her. Shion, unable the bear seeing Miu hurt, offers himself to her with a kiss... ... Which Kai witnesses... Chapter Pages Serialization 16 123–153 Sho-Comi 2001 issue 19 Kai reacts swiftly and violently. Against Shion's wishes, Miu goes chasing after him. Kai, furious, tells her she will receive punishment at the Sabbat. All Miu knows is that it is the place where Satan would have sex with Seera for show. The Sabbat turns out to be an orgical gathering of witches and demons. Satan emerges from his mansion to select his partner for the evening. Miu watches him stride up towards Seera, so Miu turns to leave—but she can't escape... Chapter Pages Serialization 17 155–185 Sho-Comi 2001 issue 20 Satan commences his punishment of Miu in front of the shocked congregation of the Sabbat. The Devil refuses to believe Miu, who swears she loves Satan as she lies nude before the assembly, until she begins to cry. He then makes an effort to comfort her before announcing the dissolution of the Sabbat. When he carries her into the mansion and tells her she has had enough punishment, Miu realizes she has received no punishment at all. She asks the Devil if he loves her, and he makes his feelings for her clear...

VOLUME 4 Chapter Pages Serialization 18 006–033 Sho-Comi 2001 issue 21 Satan asks Miu to live in Hell eternally as his wife, but this would mean her mortal death. If she does not come to a timely decision, he promises to cause her death himself and drag her down with him. After school that day, Seera reveals to Shion that she has gone to the most extreme length to eliminate Miu. Meanwhile, just as Miu realizes what decision she must make, she becomes the victim of a terrible "accident." Shion arrives in time to see Death standing over Miu's body... Chapter Pages Serialization 19 035–065 Sho-Comi 2001 issue 22 The Archangel Michael disallows Death from reaping Miu's soul. He prays that God will receive it instead. Satan soon realizes what has been done. He exacts revenge against Seera and then ascends to Heaven—knowing that it could undo him—to retrieve his woman... Chapter Pages Serialization 20 066–095 Sho-Comi 2001 issue 23 Michael and Satan do battle on the Celestial front as Miu struggles to recall her existence on Earth and the importance of the one fighting for her. Just as Satan is about to be undone, Miu defends him against the Archangel. Michael has no choice but to destroy her. He hurls an attack, but Satan pushes Miu out of the way just seconds before the energy comes barreling into him and explodes...
